Columbia mall in Columbia TN-formerly known as Shadybrook mall is a Hull Storey Gibson property,opened in the early 80’s as a General Growth Properties it is one level and most of its store’s are closed.two anchor stores remain -pebels -jc penny

In the mid 90s when the mall was the place to be in this town shadybrook added “the singing bears” they were the talk of the town! an interactive anamatronic set of bears purchased by general growth for 20.000 dollars from a NC based company called Media Advertising & Design a few sets remain out there in malls across the US..but our mall retired theirs in 2008

this was the first holiday season ‘hull story’ took over “2004” did a lot of promo that year and that was also the first year the mall stopped doing all the holiday photos and contracted with a santa photo company out of AL who swapped out a lot of the malls photo props and decor for different pieces, personally I liked the other stuff left from the ‘shadybook days’ better it was more posh and extravagant.
